James Erickson began his freestyle career a little over two years ago, when he met Nate Linscott, Aaron Orton, Jason Hall, and Matt Baker at the Saturday market in Eugene. He was instantly hooked, and achieved guiltlessness (nothing less than three add move combinations) within three months. James's style leans heavily towards a technical way of playing; he has the ability to throw "shuffle" combinations with great ease. Of late, he has been mixing spins and ducks into his runs, which greatly add a stylistic dimension to his game. James play with all heart and is one of the most positive freestylers you'll ever meet. Influences to his game include area freestylers Nate Linscott and Red Husted. All in all, this guy's a great and welcome addition to the northwest footbag scene. In fact, when his time is done in Eugene, Portland is lobbying to get him into town. Come on, James!
